Kosovo and Albania are attractive markets for international companies — but, as anywhere, a good entry depends on preparation. These are the five steps we follow with our partners.
- Understand demand. Who are the buyers — public institutions, private companies or consumers? How big is the market, and who are the competitors?
- Check the rules. Many products, especially medicines and medical devices, need registration or approval from the national authorities before they can be sold. The requirements differ between Kosovo and Albania, so each market has to be checked separately.
- Choose the right partner. A reliable local distributor or representative is often the key to success. Check their experience, references and financial stability.
- Plan logistics and service. Delivery times, storage, after-sales service and training are what customers remember.
- Start focused, then grow. A pilot with a limited product range or a single region reduces risk and builds trust before a wider launch.
Investital's Market Scouting division supports companies through each of these steps, from the first analysis to the first sale.
